Weird Sighting

On the way home from work today, I came up behind a new style F-150 scab 4x4 that was Dark Shadow Grey with a Silver painted bumper. As I pulled along side, the truck was also silver on the bottom and had silver painted Lariat style fender flares. Now here is what's weird, there was an STX 4x4 sticker on the side of the bed, the truck had 17" alum STX wheels, and it had a bar style grill w/body color surround and a silver painted 04-05 front bumper with rectangular fog lights.
Has anyone ever heard of a combination like this? Was it a special package on the STX that I never heard about?

I thought that too, but it looked factory just like the two-tone you can get on the lariat-fx4-xlt.

Sounds like a conversion... actually, sounds similar to the Southern Comfort Edition -- which is an aftermarket tweak.

I don't know if it was a conversion or not, it looked factory. You know how a lariat looks when it has the lower color in AZ beige (the bumpers, flares and lower body sides are all the same color) that is how this truck looked, but it was DSG/Silver and had STX wheels, stickers, and grill

yep, sounds like custom paint and add-on flares. It's not that big of deal man, a good bodyshop can make it look as good or even better than factory.
