4x4 decal: on, off or diff color???

I know a lot of you guys like to remove your 4x4, STX or FX4 decals but I can't make my mind up on this. I've got Ariz beige decals which I think was a factory mistake as I have the gray interior not beige. They blend in and aren't too noticeable, but there's no other beige except the dirt underneath. Since I have the long box it's kind of nice to have something there but I'm leaning towards maybe trying a set of dark shadow grays. Any thoughts?

I like the decals, but I couldn't stand the red FX4 decal on my truck, so this is what I did...

For those with the custom decals, where did you purchase them from? I'm looking for an alternative as well. Thanks.

I used to work at a graphics shop in Illinois for 4+ yrs.. so that is where I go. I actually put my intake on there over the weekend, but they don't have and online ordering option. If you want to check them out, it's www.x-tremegraphics.com

Thanks.. all I did was put the diamond plate over the factory red. Much easier to trace the outline, then to make an entire new sticker.

peel slowly, or use a heat gun if you need to.. but if your truck isn't that old, shouldn't need it.
There will be a sticky residue on the truck when your done, and you can get some adhesive remover from the auto store.. one that is safe on paint. I'm not sure.. so don't quote me, but bug and tar remover might work too.. and be safe for your paint!?

Its an 04. I have an awesome heat gun so that should work. Just have to be careful-I melted a badge from an 01 Screw trying to remove it. OOPS.

BTW-Thats an awesome sig you have. How did you turn the pic into a link?

Hey Keith.. yea, if you hold the HG too close for too long, you can melt anything, including bubbling you paint.. so do be careful.. if the truck is too hot to touch when your doing it.. then your getting it too hot!

I picked the picture, text, fonts and colors, but had wstahlm80 do it for me.. he did an awesome job.. just check out this post, and maybe that will help you, or you can ask him! https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=237890
