The add-a-leaf was just for looks and when I put the wheeler in, it doesnt look badd. the power is great with the superchip, but selling that and buying the edge on sunday. The shocks help with the rear droping when towing or with a load in the bed, the factorys were shot after about 8000 miles. The gas mieage is about factory since intake and tuner. cant wait to regear it this fall

To the previous poster how is that Truxxx leveling kit? I've read that 3 inches is to much lift thru a spacer.

What about the front shocks? Was there a noticeable diffrence there? I think I am going to put on the rear shocks because it will only take a few minutes... But I don't know if having the front shocks replaced is worth it to me...

The fronts when I got them done made the truck handle better and take the pot holes a lot easier on the truck. The stock felt too soft when taking corners but the bilstiens took that away. I think they were worth it, just my 2 cents.

AKFX42004 what gears are you currently running that you wish to regear? I have an 06 Screw that i'm looking for a little extra from (height wise) and I think i'm going to do exactly what you did...2" AS with 35's on 18's. The look to me is perfect. I would LOVE to go 6" etc., but going to drive this for a while before I carve her up. No offense of course to those who have done it, just middle aged now with 1 yr old twins and a REALLY cranky wife so..well enough said. Anyway I have a cold air setup, after market exhaust and a Troyer xcal2 on the way....will I be happy with the performamnce with the 35's (I have 3.73 LS) or am I going to be wishing for gears right away. BTW nice truck.

right now I have 3.73 but by this fall I'll put 4.56 in cant wait. with the 35 it still throws me in the back of the seat and I can only run stage one on the supertuner since we dont have to octane up here.

AKFX42004 is that the actual AS 2" (spacer measures 1 5/8" but marketed as 2") on your truck. I want the same set up. Looking at the AS 2" and 2.5" looking to buy the set up you have. Thanks

Thanks for the input. I guess since i have them i should just suck it up and put them in. Did you do the fronts your self? I would like to do them myself... but I have heard it can be a PITA without a good wall mounted spring compressor... which I dont have.

I tried to do the front shocks and failed, the spring compressor that you can rent or buy will not cut it for our springs. The place I went to had never change the new f-150 and after mine they said they would be charging more to do them from now on. but it was easy to take apart but not putting back together. and my AS is the orignal 2 in when it first came out

i want to see what this setup looks like with the mud grapplers. but if the mudterr's already rub, i'm sure the graps will be awful considering the huge side lugs.
