Have you had ford to replaced the driveshaft due to shudder?
After replaced clutch pack, greased it etc and finally They decided to replace the driveshaft but they need special order for new one to come in to replace it.
I will bring it in Ford shop this wednesday and am NERVOUS about this cuz i am afraid it might be the worst than orignail driveshaft (more vibe/shudder).
They told me that driveshaft should be solve this problem as it just updated to specifity made driveshaft for it.
My question for you, MOST recenlty replaced the driveshaft, have you noticed shudder is gone ? or is it coming back after few weeks ?? feedback your experience please..
thanks!

By shudder do mean from a stop when you accelerate there is a clunking sound from the rear end?? You can feel it too right? That's the problem I've had since I got my 05. I've ignored it, hasn't got any worse or better...
I got Ford to put the new aluminum DS in my screw because the pinion bearings kept getting roasted after 50 miles on a rear axle rebuild. The stupid axle would howl like a banshee between 68-72. Sine the DS replacement I got over 1,000 miles on the rebuild and it seems to be doing better. So it may help with the shudder if it is causing the rear end to act up, plus less rotating mass=better mileage.
Ford replaced my driveshaft for the clunk at takeoff. I was kinda nervous also, but everything turned out great. No more clunk and never had a vibe before or after. Its been a few thousand miles since that clunk to, so it looks like it did the trick.

And what do I tell the service advisor to make them change the driveshaft?

Yoman;
Mine was changed because they found the source of my shudder was a bad u-joint. They were going to change it, but it is on "national back order" so they just changed the entire d-shaft. Shudder gone, slip-yoke trouble gone, almost 5,000 miles now.
Dont worry too much about it, it was a good thing for my truck.
