Maggie exhaust rear/slanted exit...

Okay.. so I've decided on maggies **I THINK** I'd actually like to hear any maggie or flowmaster sound clips with only exhaust and intake done to your truck! (would sound most like my own at this point).

Was also wondering, I love the look of Josiah's truck below:

But I bet those are added chrome tips? Where could I get those? Would it be hard for a muffler shop to bend my exhaust this way to achieve this look??
Thanks again guys.. Hard to believe I only joined this site last week.. it's just SOOOO addicting!!!

I believe those are the Magnaflow tips that come with it . Referred to as "Slant Cut" on the item description. I have a Maggie SISO and it came with a sweet polished tip on it, only it's rounded on the SISO. I didn't go with dual out the rear as I think there's an issue with the spare tire that I didn't want to deal with. I'm happy with my choice, as with the Volant CAI, EDGE EVO and Maggie it has turned my truck into a fun ride!

ALL muffler shops stock chrome tips. They all typically have a display demo showing all the different styles you can choose from. Muffler shops can also for the most part care less as to the way you want your pipes run. Just let them know.

I'm actually going out on a limb and going with a flo pro muffler and true duals.

Skip the chrome tips guys and gals and go straight to stainless. Your chrome tips will be rusted away within two years.

That's what I'm thinking... sticking with the stainless, probably easier to keep clean also.

Thanks for all the info. Lowest price I fould for SIDO #16614 is $424.96, waiting on one other place, but if they can't beat it.. I know where I'm going. Either way, the maggie is getting ordered TODAY!!!

i just took it for granted that she would get the chrome ss tips. I don't see many reputable muffler shops not going with them

Definately Magnaflow

I have the Magnaflow single pipe in the stock position (SISO) on my '05 xlt 5.4L and I love it. I highly recommend it. Everything fits on stock hangers and can easily be installed in a couple of hours (It took me a little over an hour). The catback system comes with a 3" (3 1/2"?) round stainless steel tip. The Magnaflow website has a couple of sound clips for a Ford Expedition, 5.4L. It is the same sound as you would get with your truck. I have a K&N OEM replacement filter and the catback exhaust only,..., for now. The exhaust is very deep and throaty, it sounds great. The system isn't too much louder in the cab but is a slightly louder rumble than stock, also good. The trade-off for increased power is worth it.

I bought my system earlier this year from HottExhaust.com following recommendations from this and another ford truck site. At the time they had a discount for fordtrucks.com website members. Using the coupon code "fordtrucks8" I got the system just over $400 w/free shipping.

Roses.. that post was great, thanks.
Also, the magnaflow site had an F150 clip now.. but doesn't sound great, bad sound quality, but pretty sure it's due to the type of materials they used record the clip.

I can't listen to the clips since I'm at work and it's blocked, but will check them out after the gym tonight.

I just got my price quote from who I was waiting for, and they can't touch the $424.96, so back to hottexhaust I go.. NOW NOW NOW...
I'm soooo impatient!!

Just make sure you're aware of possible spare tire clearance issues with the 16614... good luck with your purchase though, you'll love the quality and sound!

I have read up on that as well, but pretty sure I will be okay as I'm going to angle it out each side, not straight out the back. Thanks for the info

Now that my exhaust has arrived, many muffler places tell me that they can't be bent how I want them (see posts below) because they have stainless steel tubing... I don't know much about it... is that correct??

Split rear exhaust looks better once you're lifted, but looks good nonetheless. Here is a clip of my flowmasters (I took it to show the stock audiophile system but got carried away with the exhaust), I have the exact same video with my magnaflows but I'll have to find that. My maggie sounded good too, but not as low and rumbly, definitely not as loud. This thing screams at WOT. I have the single chamber flowmaster (supposed to be the loudest available). Right now I have my rear cats off so it's much louder, you can hear it in my other videos I'm sure.
