Looking at getting a Flowmaster, but where?

I'm looking at getting the Flowmaster 40 dual catback setup, but who has the good deals on them currently? Seems everybody has the Magnaflows or at least my search only turns up magpies. Thanks

try your local exhaust shop. Do you plan on installing it yourself? Id recomend getting it installed by a preofessional with welding and you also dont have to pay for shipping

I mean in all honesty I think the magnaflow loving flowmaster bashing is a little overdone on this site.

With that said, yes in the next week or so i'm ordering my maggie exhaust but only because I fell in love with this set-up on a truck in a magazine.

People say flowmasters lose low-end torque. Sure, this could be possibly true, but to the slightest extent. Is your truck going to be overall slower? NO. Is the magnaflow going to make your truck faster? NO. Even if there is a difference we're talking a tenth of a second.

Flowmaster has a great tune for that hot-rod sound loving guy. I have owned 2 flowmasters on two different vehicles. All the magnaflow's i have heard on the 5.4's on this site have really sounded pretty sweet so i'm deciding to give them a shot.

Ok, well my point was that it's just so OLD reading about people bashing flowmaster. Buy the muffler that SOUNDS best to you, because in the end your not going to see any other difference.

I have a Flowmaster, I understand what you're saying about the bashing though. Mostly from the guys with the Magnaflow. I just hope YOUR happy, because thats all that matters. Im just giving my opinion to someone before they get something they don't want. The Magnaflow on these trucks is pretty damn quiet compared to a Magnaflow on other trucks.

ohh yeah. that wasn't directed at you at all. That was just a funny jab at the magnaflow. The flowmaster owners here really owe those with magnaflows ALOT of bashing!

I'm going with the dual side exit in front of the rear tire. The magnaflow seems to be the perfect set-up. Being that, that set-up is usally a loud one so matching it with a maggie will help calm it down to where it's not SO loud in the cab.

It's all cool fellas, I'm staying out of the fight, but if ya'll know where the deals are to mail order Flowmasters for cheap, I'd apreciate a bone! I know where to order all the classic Ford parts or late model Mustang, but need refreshing on where to for these new trucks!

AMEN!

I had a flowmaster SI/SO and it sounded GREAT! Now I have a Magnaflow DI/DO and it sounds GREAT too, but it is LOUD!

It all depends on what sound your looking for. A SI/DO FLowmaster IS LOUDER than a SI/DO Magnaflow.

Do you think the DI/DO Magnaflow is louder than a SI/DO Flowmaster? Im going to be getting my exhaust re-done after my body lift and I want something louder than my Flowmaster SI/DO. What do you think khendrix2373? Thanks for your help!

PM me if you don't want to hi-jack this thread! LOL

I dont know for sure... but if I had to guess, I'd say a Flowmaster SI/DO is louder than a DI/DO Maggie.

They'd certainly have different tones.. Flow masters tend to me more raspy while Maggies are more of a rumble then a rasp...

My DI/DO is a little louder because I removed my rear two cats..

How about if I had two pipes ran from the Y-Pipe into two seperate SI/SO Flowmasters? Do you think it'd be a lot louder than my current set-up?
