Warrenty question

After my 2000 Ford F150 burnt up due the the cruise control switch. I finally decided I would buy another truck. I bought a used 2004 F150 SCREW. Is there anything I need to do in order to get the warrenty switched over to my name?? Any help would be appreciated.

Pic of burnt CC switch, which totalled my truck by the way!

Check in your owner's manual to see if there is a change of owner or address card in there. Or I guess you try calling Ford Customer service to see if they could help you.

You don't have to do anything. The warranty is tied to the truck, not the owner.

If you bought it at a dealer, they'll usually update your address in the system so they know where to send recall notifications. Otherwise, you can register the truck on-line at Ford's site.

Are you talking about an extended warranty or the standard 3year/36000 mile warranry?,

For the 3/36 one you can call the ford customer servive line or warranty line and they should be able to help you.

The Owners Manual should have the numbers you need. If you don't have an owners manual post here and I'll look it up in mine.

Yeah, the 3/36000. It currently has 24000 miles on it.

It's a lariat with all the options. I paid 21000 OTD. I think I got a pretty sweet deal.

That does sound like a good deal for a Lariat!
