Took a trip down the 1/4!
woot woot
So I went to the track today with Bob from jusnes.com and some co-workers. Took 5 passes.
The best time I could pull was a
2.34 60'
10.62 1/8
16.52 1/4
82.80mph
best reaction was a .6464 (I could use a little more practice on that)
It was real fun. I think the best race while we were there was myself vs buddies 6.0 PS. .2321 Margin!
All in all, yes I didn't buy my truck for a drag machine but it was fun seeing what it would do.

You luck sob's, I don't even know of a track except for the one in Sac. I need to get my heavy **** 4x4 Supercrew down there and see what I can pull off.

Nice time, my best with chrome 20's was a 17.4 @ 80mph. They must weigh a ton because I have an 04 FX4 with 5.4L and exhaust only at the time. You said you ran it in 4wd? I thought you weren't supposed to drive over 55mph in 4wd?

That sounds right at what I was running with those mods, and same truck pretty much. Why did you need to run it in 4wd though? Would it actually spin bad off the line? The street is a different story, but mine doesn't spin at all off the line at our track, though it is VERY sticky. It just plants and goes so I hate to waste energy spinning all of those 4wd components.

It seemed also about 3/4's the way down the track while in 2wd I could feel more power. So it was a toss up. MY times were pretty much Identical in 2wd and 4wd so I don't know what I was feeling but it was apparantley different. Maybe difference in resistance on driveshafts.
what track are you talking about that is sticky? I went to fayetville.
In the next week or so i'll be ordering my exhaust. Maybe it will take hopefully two-tenths off. I really doubt I will see any difference in times, but one could only hope. lol
I ran at Farmington dragway which is right by my house. I should try that next time I run, load it up and then let the hammer down, but I wonder if I could just switch off 4wd as soon as im rolling.........

It's worth a shot though. Especially with a blower. Get some boost flowing and let her rip. I'd be curious to see if you get a better time or not.
