Let me see your DVD double din installs.

I did a search and everything but the kitchen sink and what I wanted came up! LOL

Anyway, I just got my Alpine W200 yesterday and I have both install kits (scosche and metra) but I'm not sure if the W200 will fit flush (need to experiment some more).

So, post your pics to see if I can get some ideas. Thanks!

Check out my gallery. Metra kit. It fits flush, but it took a good installer and some creativity.

I will, I got it all wired up and it's playing fine! It's gonna mount flush, but I need to get a new Metra kit because I can only find 1 side of the ISO mount brackets for the Double Din. I didn't think I would be using them when I installed my D310.

I suggest getting the Black Box R2 from Ebay to override the parking brake. It's $50 but it works great. I'm using the one I had on my D310.

On some DVD indash you can just ground the parking brake wire and then watch DVD's while driving. Handy if you have back seat monitors, or use audio DVD discs.

On the high end you use a 'black box' that goes into the circuit to fool the headunit into thinking you are not moving. The high end ones get VSS speed info from the truck.

Yeah, what Chris said...I'm a little late...I got sidetracked by a phone call before I could post my reply:

It's the law (in most states, if not all by now) to have in dash DVD players not play a movie while driving and you have to connect wires to the parking/foot brake to let the unit know you are parked and not driving.

The connection can be by-passed though. The Black Box R2 is the easiest way to do it. It also comes with a little toggle switch so you can switch back and forth. I like it!

Metra Kit

Note: I've since remounted my Eclipse to be flush rather than stick out... This pic, however, was the best I had of the kit itself.
