golfball sized hail is no match for 04 F150

My 04 just sat through 20 minutes of pounding golfball sized hail, and came through it without a single blemish. All/most of the other vehicles in the lot had some fairly serious damage, including my buddy's 02 FX4. I guess that quiet steel also dampens frozen ***** of ice falling from the sky

Thats amazing...I think my sheet metal is made of butter. I got a major dent from a rock being slung by a weed eater (the landscape company had the fender repainted), then I carried to a hand car was place and the guy dropped a mop handle into the same fender and dented it again....paintless guy got it out.

I was in your same hail storm. My Harley and wife's car was in garage. Wife said, sorry, your truck is getting hit with hail, I'm so sorry. Went out, and nuttin...Quality. Love it.

I can't even lean against the side of my F150 without it bowing inward. They have very thin gauge steel on the sides it seems. I don't know about the top parts. I could/can lean on my S-10 all day without it flexing. Granted, the panels are smaller, and, especially since the drop, lower than my center of gravity.

well crap. I spoke too soon. I drove up to indy for the weekend and 10 minutes after I got there all hell broke loose. This hail was even bigger than what hit us a week ago, and the results are much worse. I have easily a dozen large dents on the hood, just as many on the roof (including a very nasty one right above the windshield) and a few on the gloss black trim pieces between the side windows. This ain't gonna be cheap
Here's a few shots of what came down

and at least my brother's chebby got smacked pretty hard too

I was flat out sick when I saw the damage

I had an 1998 Chevy Malibu that got damaged in a hail storm 3 years ago. Lots of smaller dents on the roof, hood and fenders. I took a $3500 payout from my insurance company and then traded in the car about 8 months later really dirty and covered in snow. The dealer never said a thing about the damange. I dont know if they noticed or not.
