PIE Problems

I have had my PIE installed since they came out and from time to time I get a got a static sound coming from my front left speaker... It would come and go.

Now the static is there all the time and it sounds like my speaker is blown. I then noticed that its my left rear speaker also.... If I use FM or CD then my speakers are crystal clear. Its only when i use AUX through my PIE that I get very bad static throw the left speakers. I have not had time to put the radio out and make sure all my connections are still tight and hope to do that soon.... just wondering if this is a common problem or has anyone had this problem??

Could you describe the static, I am getting a humming noise and was wondering if it is the same. It worked fine for a while and then this noise started. I ended replacing all of the cables and came to the conclusion that its either the PIE or my xm radio. I got upset with the quality and took it all out. I might just buy a new head unit with xm capabilities and hopefully that will solve my problems.

The first run of PIE units had a bad chipset in them, maybe you have one of the bad ones. All you need to do is contact PIE and they will send you an updated chipset. Simple install too

Is their contact info in the package? I try to get on to their web site (www.pie.net) and nothing happens.

I haven't bought mine yet, but just want to know that I'm covered should something go wrong. Each place has different warranty terms.

Forget it. I bit the bullet and finally bought the damn thing. Man, I'm glad that's over. I have a problem with doing too much research. I hate getting ripped off so I always check every little thing and place before buying. And it usually takes me forever.

I'm off to Ocean City, MD for a golf getaway. When I get back it should be here.
