Question about warranty

I bought my 2004 f-150 used with 5000 miles. The dealership told me that the original buyer bought an extended warranty. I think it was 6 years/70000 miles. When I took it in to have some service Ford said that the warranty was only 33000 miles. Good thing it was still under 33000.

My question is how do I find out if the buyer bought an extended warranty with another company? Like an aftermarket one I guess. I know some of you guys might be thinking that maybe I shouldve done more research when I first bought the vehicle but my mother-in-law took it out under her name and she was doing most of the talking.

I figured I'd check up on it later. Laters here now. I'm a procrastinater.

I wanna find out before the warranty expires so if I can buy an extended one. Thanks for any advice guys

I would first start with the dealer that sold you/her the truck. Something that had that few miles on it probably had it purchased through the dealer that originally sold the truck.
