Engine failsafe, another possible cause

Ok so my truck in the past would give me engine failsafe modes every now and again. (maybe once a week, nothing restarting could't fix)
Then I got my edge and the problem became more severe. When coasting to stop lights on level 3 my truck would stall out and refuse to start back up unless I put it in park to reset the system.
Then yesterday it started acting up worse.
On level 2 it refused to start after I got out of school. For no reason... If I gave it gas it would stay running. Then the problem got worse, It would stall out and not start back up unless I changed programs. I could put it in park, take out the key, nothing would fix it accept changing the level on the program. Then on my way driving it to the shop (stalling out at every redlight) It went to engine failsafe mode but stayed running at 400rpm. It was still on but it wouldn't accept any control from the throttle.
I changed programs (stock to level 2) and the problem was ok now until I got another engine failsafe at the shop. I started the truck to move from the drive through to a parking spot, maybe 20 feet at most and I got engine failsafe in that short amount of time.

ANYWAYS... long story short they replaced my TPS sensor and reflashed my computer (and I don't believe the reflash was un update) The problem appears to be fixed for now.
Just thought i'd let you guys know just in case.
Incidentally I'm very... VERY happy the edge was not the problem cause it owns.
