coil spring "boing" cure

Ok folks ,
coil springs have kinda like a tuning fork reverb to them and I was getting this noise inthe cab....so just messing around i hit the spring with a wrench and it went "booooiiing" kinda like a bell.So i took a 2 inch wide sheet of lead and wrapped it around a coil of the sping and then tie wrapped it in place ...hit the spring again and it went "boin". Doesn't sound like a whole lot of difference till you ride in the cab and go over something in the road!!!! Check it out...it is way too simple not to try...you will be amazed !!!!! Just some simple harmonic deadening physics like accumat for your springs.
