Wrong. RP just enforces the rule that he's told to enforce. I didn't set it. We have a classified ads section that is FREE to all f150online.com members and thus, we DO NOT allow classified ads, of any nature (FS, WTB, etc...), in the forums.

It's not RP being a jerk, it's him fulfilling the obligation that he has to the site.

Question, if RP only enforces rules, then who sets them?

I believe hes posted a few times in the past, but generally he does not post unless it has to do with rules and regulations.

Im just amazed at the people who continually bash RP or dis-obey the rules. This website is free to use, whats so hard about following a few rules?

Posting in the free classified add section also gets you free spam mail from scam artists... I am not suggesting that members should be allowed to post classified adds wherever they want because of same, but others should at least be warned.

For those of us who use the classifieds to sell an item, most will note the 'pop up' that comes into play when you SUBMIT the ad...

Hence, they should be 'warned' already.

Additionally, THIS THREAD was posted early this year as a tool to attempt to discourage the posting of classifieds. It's a "STICKY" thread at the top of the list when you view this 2004-2006 Forum and thus, it's there for the taking (around 1300 views at this point in time).

Long story short guys, we don't allow stuff for sale... we don't allow wanted to buy ads, and we don't allow promotion of your ebay ad (and almost all of the other similar instances that may jog through your head right now).

Thanks for your understanding... we don't bend much on this rule as many have noted that cruise our boards. We're not perfect but, a good portion of the classifieds contained within posts and as individual threads here get pulled.
