Console LIDS

At the risk of making a complete jackass out of myself...Can anyone tell me if a XLT or FX console lid (both are the same) would fit on an XLT center seat. Boring day at work and my mind wanders, I saw the XLT/FX lid on ebay and started thinking it might work with some modification to the back hinge. By the looks of it the front should be ok. No idea how to remove the center seat lid which is attached all the way across the back. Perhaps by pushing the pin all the way through??? Dang thing is just too shallow inside plus the added height of the other lid may be nice. Any thoughts or have I finally gone nuckin futs?

Both of them open and close differenty, so I dont think that it would work.. Unless you modified it somehow..

Kind of figured I wouldn't get much response on this. After looking closer and thinking about it I came to the conclusion it would be a nightmare trying to get it just right. Somewhat better sense came over me, I went ahead and bought an XLT console off car-part.com.

I think the lid on the seat console is bigger than the XLT console lid...at any rate they open totaly different and I really can't see any way this is a doable mod.
