Reverse delay, anyone else have it???
Just recently noticed that when I go from drive to reverse, there is a slight delay for the reverse to kick in... Anyone else out there notice this???
Not quite the same problem, but mine won't shift out of park for a few seconds after starting cold. The button on the shifter won't fully depress. I first noticed it a week ago, but it's been consistent.
To make a long story short, my truck is in getting a new tranny on warranty right now. It was doing this exact thing, it would delay going into reverse, if you gave it any throttle at all during the delay it would shudder.
Before it finally totally crapped out, I tried shifting reverse to forward and back again a couple times so I could try to figure out what it was doing before I took it in to get looked at, on the fourth time, it would clunk into reverse and then the forward gears would slip badly. When I was going forward and back, it was very slowly with hardly any throttle, I was just timing the delay before reverse would engage. It got hauled in to the dealer.

). All three said that it is normal and that everything checks out.
