My bouncing baby XLT SCREW arrived today!

11 miles

I spent the day installing my tonneau, bed mat, radar detector (tapped the switched lead in the overhead rail), XM SkyFi, iPass, and laptop mount.

I pulled off the lot with the low fuel light on!

Looks good bud! It's nice to put parts on a new truck. But why the laptop mount?

It's primarily a work truck in my sales job. I run a Sprint card that allows me internet access just about anywhere my cell phone works. It is also a very big GPS unit.

I was surprised that I was able to mount it and still have full comfort for the passenger seat. In my old car it really ate the space. It has a quick disconnect that allows removal from the base.

why the laptop? I will tell you why I have mine.

1. Verizon wireless internet access
2. Slingbox at home for cable tv in truck anywhere
3. GPS navigation with a 15 inch screen

thats enough reason for me.

Nice ride man. Mine had 12 miles on it when I left the dealer. Do you have any other mods planned?

It's nice to see that Ford has lost the crappy Hankook tires they put on the '05's -- those Michelin's are MUCH better tires!

actually my 05 came with michelins too. I believe it had to do with the build plant. Mine was built in Norfolk, Va. Not that it matters because they are sitting in the garage anyways

Mine's a KC built truck so I don't think that matters.
