truck is in for tranny problems...

A flat deck just came and hauled away my truck.
The tranny was slipping when I put it in drive. For the last week or so, I noticed that when shifting into reverse it seemed to delay a few seconds before fully engaging and if any throttle was given during the delay it would shudder badly and clunk into reverse. I get home tonight and figure I would try shifting reverse to forward and try and figure out exactly what was happening so I could explain it to my dealer. Well after going from reverse to drive and back a couple times, and very slowly I might add, it would slip badly in drive but now engage right away in reverse? WTF? Called the dealer and they sent a bed truck to come get it.
I have to say that my dealer has been really good so far, the truck is off factory warranty but I made them extend the tranny warranty an extra 25000km after they messed up my tranny flush at 55000km (warranty ends @ 60000km's). It now has 74000km. They covered the cost of the bed truck, they have also rented me a F350 powerstroke diesel crew cab XLT to use in the meantime and with a written extension of dealer warranty, I have to believe at this point they will cover the repair in full.

This sucks not having my truck as I use it for work everyday, on the bright side though, the Continental tires on this PSD F350 smoke up real nice if you let the turbo spool up a bit.
