Will 2006 Harley Grille Fit My 2005?
Has anyone had fitment issues changing out their 2004-2006 F-150's with an '06 Harley grille?
I'm purchasing an '06 Harley grille for my '05 Supercrew Lariat 4X4. I spoke to the parts guy at the dealership I'm buying the grille from and he's telling me that the '06 Harley grille won't fit my truck. He said he got this information directly from Ford.
What I've learned from reading posts on this forum, no one has had a problem with fitment. I'm wanting to use the whole grille surround (my truck is black), not just swap out the center bar portion.
I wouldn't be surprised if the parts guy was trying to scare me out of making the purchase as I bought the grille right after Ford raised the prices on them and the dealer hadn't updated their price listing yet. The dealership is honoring the lower price, but what a surprise, it's taken 2 full months to get one in, undamaged, with one delay after another.
The parts guy thought he'd be doing me a favor calling the fitment issue to my attention before it was shipped out to me. I disregarded it and told him to ship it to me anyway. Your thoughts to confirm or deny what the parts guy told me would be appreciated.

Thanks guys for confirming what I had already suspected. The dealership is yanking my chain.
I'll be happy to share with everyone the name of the dealership and the website that they use to market heavily their parts department once I've received my grille.
Indiana-red4X4, the dealership in question is not located in Indiana. I sure hope there's a special place in the hereafter for people like this who freely engage in less than ethical business practices. I keep forgetting that in life some people are not going to treat me the same as I treat them. Sigh....
Thanks again!
