Not only that but in the pics you can notice the rotor is still attached to the outside of the rim. I'm glad you're ok, but this is all very odd.

Here in MN we have enourmous potholes and I've seen people with 22's plummet straight through them at 70 mph and not have a problem other than the truck or SUV bob up and down jarringly. That is A LOT of damage from a pothole at 70 mph causing a roll.

That is why I go up and not down, low profile tires are a joke. Call it an angel or luck, but you're lucky to have either. I'm really sorry to hear all this, glad you're ok. It's unfortunate you had all those mods put in and now they're probably toast. Are you going to be able to recover them? I had no seatbelt in my wreck either, check my gallery for pics. I walked away with scratches, gf who was wearing seatbelt wasn't so lucky. I don't think you'll be allowed to part it out if your insurance is claiming it.

TexasFatboy, I couldn't agree more. This is one of the reasons why I'm so into Ford...I did half a barrel roll in my '94 Ranger at freeway speeds into the center divider (bushes) and ended up DRIVING THE TRUCK AWAY after refilling all fluids. I walked away with a few bruises, but absolutely incredible that my truck stayed as intact as it did, and that I drove it away!

Those pics remind me of what I went through, although mine didn't look that bad damage wise. Glad to hear you're alright...it's just a vehicle, not nearly worth the price of a life, and well worth the price paid for the vehicle and insurance. Good luck with all the upcoming stuff, and glad you're safe... Ford Tough!

Wow, sorry to see your truck in such shambles. Glad you are okay though, that's one hell of a wreck to walk away from, especially without a seatbelt.

I think Josiah might be in need of 1 ball bearing if you can spare it.

I guarantee you I would rather have a blow out at 70mph with a set low profiles than I had with a giant off road tire. He should have been able to maintain control with his...he only dropped down 4in or so, the blow out was on the back plus the truck was lowered. If you have a blow out with a tire like your putting on your truck you can bet your f'ed...period. A drop in tire height that great AND the increased center of gravity would almost certainly mean a roll over. Like I said on the street I would take my chances with the low profiles any day.
