Employee pricing did not mess the value of the trucks up. Ford Moters has always had the employee pricing. What hits our trucks is the price of gas and what the dealers have to let them go for to sell them. Heck if the price was 28k for this truck firm no one would purchase them. Its hard to sell a vehicle of this magnitude for folks who don't actually use it for what its meant for. I got my XLT for 19k. I doubt my price affects yours. When I wanted to trade it in for a Prius I only got 15k for mine so I feel your pain. Luckily enough there were some snags and i kept my truck. Since 5 months ago I've gone with a leveling kit then a Fabtech kit. Keep your truck and enjoy it dude.

Your comment is rude and offensive to some. I too have had someone from Nigeria for example offer me more for what I was selling if i would cash thier bogus check. Scammers are scammers but dont assume some person in another country has to be a terrorist.

I just bought my 04 F150 (see sig) 3 months ago is has leather, heated seats and mirrors, TT package, just about every option. It had 31000 miles when I bought it and I paid $19,900 I couldn't get the dealership down anymore. And now after everything I put on it (programmer, rims tires, lift, and more) I have a total of about $21,600 into the truck. Just for a little compairison.

I paid $22,549 for my 04 brand new with 26 miles on it. MSRP was 31,000+. Maybe you paid to much.

The reason you can't sell your truck is because you can get a brand new one for damn near the same price your asking for a used one. Plus, you can get a lower interest rate on a new vehicle than a used one.

Your price seems a bit high to me.

Southern Ford south of Houston is advertising new diesel SD's with automatic & air for $24000. They are Scab's. But, I don't think much else in the way of extras.

You can thank the "Employee" & "Red Tag" & "No Hassle" pricing deals from last summer. Unfortunately, 90% of the time the average consumer is an ignorant slob. Most were like "Wow!!! Awesome!!! I can get a $35000 Lariat for only $24000." What the average person didn't realize: This did NOTHING but effectively RUIN the used car market. No one is going to pay full price for a vehicle for a lllloooonnnngggg time. If I know that they just sold the same model for $10000 less than it's on the lot for now, why would I pay the full price? The only people who have no room to play are people that MUST have a vehicle RIGHT NOW. You can bet that no one will give you more than $2000 below KBB value. My $33000 Lariat has a KBB value of $19000 after 16 months. Another sad fact is that American vehicles simply do not hold their value. I'm sure there are exceptions but it is a good rule of thumb.

Sad but true...

KC-10 FE out...
