Angry Got a new list of problems for the dealer...

Well I put it off as long as I could but now I've got several problems, I really hate going to my dealership, it takes away your whole day at minimum, if your lucky and they are morons. When I bought my truck the running boards were all scratched up and the gas cap was broken, so they scheduled a time for me to come in and get those items replaced about a week after I bought the truck. When I showed up and I ended up sitting in their crappy waiting room for an hour before going back into the garage to look for my truck. It was still sitting right where I left it...found the service manager and she told me that sorry but they running boards they have don't match the truck, somebody made a mistake, but here is your gas cap, we'll call you when the running boards are in. I wonder how long I would've sat their if I hadn't gone looking for the s.m. myself. I drove 20 miles for a frickin gas cap. Then when I came back for the running boards it took them over 30mins for them to get someone to find the keys of a Focus to give me.
Next I discovered that my rear passenger speaker was blown, they made me come up there so they could confirm it and then told me they didn't have a replacement in stock. They called a week later and I came in to get it replaced, again I sat in the waiting room an hour only to have the s.m. come in and tell me that they ordered the wrong speaker and I would have to come back again!!!!! Ohhh theres more but you get the picture I think.

Now the outer seal on my rear window on my passenger side upper right corner has turned a chalky color and started to flake! I have a power slider and its squeaking is driving me insane, I think its the window because when I very slowy back out of the driveway it squeaks as the cab flexes when each tire goes off the curb and to top it all off today I discovered that the seal on the passenger side that somehow tucks around the headliner is seperated and starting to sag...

I just needed to vent
Anybody else having these problems????????

Well smarty pants aside from fading it is CRACKING, FLAKING AND BREAKING APART. It kind of important unless you like having a swimming pool in the cab of your truck. NOT something that should happen on a 2005 with 6k miles.

for your rear slider squeak- they need to lube the track- mine did this too, and it eventually seized- and stopped sliding til they greased it again. for the interior passenger seal, have you tried just shoving it back up there- i think it just wedges in. speakers- to hell with stock, go buy some new ones. they'll sound better anyway. they'll cost you less than the amount of gas you're consuming driving back and forth to the dealership.

Well first I spent my money on the JL Audio Stealthbox and an Alpine CD Player (Very worth it!)

When I get some more cash I'll be getting some component speakers to replace the factory ones. I sure didn't want to drive around with my speaker buzzing because some little lot monkey cranked my stereo through the roof though...

As far as the running boards and the gas cap go I wouldn't have bought the truck in the first place if it was already damaged you should have looked the truck over better. If you knew about the damage and you should have made them fix the damage before you ever signed the papers and then if they didn't make good on the repair's you should have walked away.

First of all welcome to the board. 2nd of all maybe I didn't make myself clear, I went over the truck with a fine tooth comb and it was PART of the condition on my buying the truck that they replace those two items or I wouldn't make the deal. I wasn't gonna leave my truck on the lot for the 2 weeks or so it took to get the running boards in.

Thank's for the welcome and sorry for sounding so harsh. It's a shame that some dealers treat their customers this way after they make a sale.Luckily I had good luck with my dealer they're a small town dealer and I know the owner pretty well.I forgot to add that I had problem's with my sliding rear window squeaking in my screw.I had the dealer look at it and they ordered a new window and installed it,so far so good but i've heard of other people with this problem haven't been this lucky.

I took my truck in on Saturday after I got another problem, Friday the airbag was shutting off when my bf gets in the front passenger seat...well maybe its not a problem

They have to replace my entire power rear slider, they can't just fix the seal, I guess its all one piece. My service advisor is a real a**hole, he is condescending and doesn't want to do his job, this is typical of him. They made sure my passenger seat was torqued down and tried to tell me that my sensor "is just really sensitive" and "he must have been sitting in the seat wrong", my bf got in his face and asked him if we got in an accident should he hold him personally responsible and told him to change the sensor. Since it was the weekend he said he had to wait to talk to engineering about it on Monday. Still waiting for a call back...

Just thought I'd update...they replaced my rear window, the airbag sensor bladder in the passenger seat and I found out that both of my doors were sagging and had to be adjusted.

Somehow they managed to poke a hole in my passenger seat and scratch up my painted bumper, god knows how they accomplished that, I have the back-up alarm! I was so ticked off, but decided not to say anything because I don't want them to touch my truck anymore!
