SPEEDRAISOR or SAJEFFC please respond
Sorry to call you guys out, but I thought you may be able to help me because of your occupation. Of course I would appreciate it if anyone else could help too.
I just ordered a 2006 FX4 and want to have everything in order so I can install a Lariat gauge cluster into the FX4 when it arrives. I already have all the parts (cluster, buttons, pins, wires, etc.) to complete the installation, but have a question about programming the new cluster.
I am a Ford employee and have access to the fmcdealer.com site. I looked in the workshop manual and it says that I have to have the vehicles "as built data" to install the new cluster. Other members here have done this swap and said that they had a dealership program the new cluster w/ this so called "as built data", but they had to pay the dealership to do this. Is there any way I can find this information out myself through the fmcdealer.com, TSO, or PTS sites? I also have access to a Rotunda NGS scan tool, so can I pull the data out of the vehicle before I remove the original cluster and then send it back to the vehicle after I install the new cluster?
Thank you for your help. You can respond to this through email if you wish. Just click on my name (baja150) and select send email.

Go to fmcdealer.com, click:
"Parts and Service," then "OASIS" (or PTS, it'll get you to the same place). Punch your VIN in and call OASIS. On the window that pops up with the report, you'll see links on the top of the page in blue for things like broadcast messages, VBOM, one of those will say "As Built." Click that and there you go.
One thing though, NGS probably won't work on your '06. PDS might work, and I know WDS or IDS will do it; be sure to use the B-259 or B-280 CAN cable with WDS.

I had previously look up my current vehicles HVBOM and didn't see "As Built Data", however I did see... I think it was called "Calibration Data" or "Vehicle Calibration"... is this the same thing?
Thanks again!
No, as built isn't in VBOM. I dunno what exactly the calibration data is for though, you don't really need calibration to order stuff nowadays like you did five or six years ago.

Nope, the link for As-built is on the OASIS report pop up page. It took me a while to find it at first too. I liked the old FMCdealer page lay out...
