If you READ what I said...I said it "pretty much" brings it back to stock. I don't care what any of those calcultors say. This is what I'm running and have run in the past and works GREAT! It's the best performance/stock mix you can get with 35" tires IMO. I actually like my top end (especially with my XCal2). Every shop, mechanic and wheeler I've talked to/know will say the same and recommend the same.

This is where I would think you'll be disappointed with your top end. If you go with 37" tires, I would go with the 4:88s.

 

Well I cant really afford gears plus the installation of the gears with the lift and tires. I guess thats why im asking. Is it just better to wait and do the lift/tires/gears all at once? I didnt plan on getting a tuner.

 

Just get the lift, tires and the Edge. Trust me, you'll thank me later.

Ok so now i have the stock 17" stx rims on my fx4 yes dont ask. I wanna get the 18" fx4 rims. Should i put the tires on the fx4 rims or is it a better idea to get aftermarket rims?

 

If you really set on running stock wheels, just stick with a 12.50 or less.

 

Im not really set on the i just like how they look. I just dont want the tires to looks to thin if you know what i mean.

No, not really. You should eventually get the gear job, but the Edge or XCal2 will help in the lack of power dept. You can adjust for the size of tires and gear ratio.

 

That's why I said "usually". You have heavier wheels, much heavier tires, and not to mention that those look like Nitto Mud Grappers which are a very UN-economical tire because of their excessive weight and air drag caused by the big lugs.

Also, another contributor to your loosing 5MPG was the fact that your truck's actual speed didn't match the speedometer (would have read slower than actual) so the vehicle's computer would have had it staying in gear longer. Hence, why you picked back up some MPG w/ the tuner.
