Just my $.02, but if you want a tire to run mud with, you need a mud tire.
Mine did way above what I ever expected them to in the mud. They probably won't cut mud as deep as the axle, but they did just fine wherever I put them.
I got over 40k out of the set that I had. Tire mileage is highly dependant on your driving habits. I've had tires that didn't last 25k miles that were good tires.
