What do you think I should insist on. They know what kind of truck I have, it's in their computers and they would always assure me, "04 F-150, correct?" The thing is, Mazzi shipped the wheels to them, then they mounted and balanced them. Then shipped it all to me. I can't see this being overnighted, especially since they won't put 35"+ tires on a plane, or whatever Discount Tire said. It had to be shipped roadway, thats how they got out of free shipping. This is unfair. I want to push for free overnight shipping to them, and free overnight back to me if it's possible roadway. They are based in Las Vegas, NV, about 9 hours from here or so. If anyone knows what I can get out of this for the trouble I'd appreciate it, it was an unpleasant experience once the shipping had begun, but I guess it was a simple mistake, one that I hope they pay for. I am really worried they might take their precious time.

well- im assuming theres another place in CA that could remount your tires?- id call up discount, say theres a big problem and youd like to resolve it as quickly, and as painlessly as possible- since mazzi shipped to discounttire, discount can get on the phone with mazzi, tell em there was a screw up, and have mazzi overnight 4 new rims to you. its a sticky situation- 3way screw up- mazzi failed on their end to fill the order correctly, then discount didn't verify the product, then you (the least at fault) didnt verify the final product at delivery --which you shouldn't necessarily have to-- id call em up, be stern, but respectful- dont take no as answer, or we'll get around to it... have them contact you after every step- after they call mazzi, have mazzi call you. let them know you aren't playing games. adding, stupid q, did you check all four rims for fit?

Thats a very good way to put it. I definitely agree with being firm but respectful. I'll keep you guys updated, the posts are keeping my spirits up, thanks a lot all of you, you're keeping me motivated to get it done. Really does help, even the "Nice wheel choice" comments, it's well appreciated!

Unfortunately Discount Tire is closed, so we'll see tomorrow morning.

Exactly what Balog said...I would call them first thing, ask for the person in charge and tell him the story. Be respectfull but stern in what you want. Unfortunately, you are at their mercy and they can make it worse if you come off like a jerk. But I would deff. tell them you want Mazzi to overnight you the correct rims. Tell them you will have them mounted at a local shop at their expense. You can pay for it up front, but make sure they reimburse you. I would hold the old rims hostage until they do reimburse you. Get the ball in your court...not theirs. Not sure who you talked to at discount tire, but there was a guy's name thrown around on here a while ago who said he would take care of anyone from this site. May be worth trying to get his name. Ill see if I can find the thread. Again, dont take no for an answer. If they tell you they cant make it overnight, tell them you want the manager to drive the out to you. This is more than unacceptable on any order, let alone the order you placed. They need to know that. Let them know that if they cant resolve this in a time frame you are ok with, that you will take your business elsewhere.

Good luck bro...

If you can find his name I'd greatly appreciate that brew, the guys at Discount Tire are all great but that guy you mentioned will be even friendlier if he welcomed our business.

Discount Tire. From the guys voice he sounded white, 6'2", 190lbs, black hair and looks like Prince. Go find him killer.

Thanks a lot brewdude, right after typing this I'll look at that thread. I just took the truck around the corner and anything above 7mph has a pretty harsh clicking and banging sound. I've looked while driving and I'm guessing it's the front driveshaft (it's spinning while I'm driving in 2wd) and the angle it's at. Is this possible, it's on the stock tires. I can get video of this but my audio sucks. While coming to a stop at a very slight turn it made a loud crank or pop. I have a hunch that was not good, but thats just me. Any ideas?

Thats really confusing. Sounds white and looks like Prince. Heck that description sounds like a guy I wouldn't want to come into contact with.

I have no idea, as I've never had a lift. But I would guess, you should wait until its all done, double check everything and then take it for a ride. I wouldnt chance messing anything up right now. But thats just me...

If anyone finally reads this request and has done their own lift. Is the rear a PITA like the front. I sure thought I could tackle this project with my eyes closed but Fabtech had something else in mind, I'm assuming the rear is 10x easier, am I in for a surprise? Monday I have a ride to school from a friend but other than that I'm screwed so I hope this popping and clanking is fixed by tomorrow.

lol, are you driving it end up? i wouldnt roll it around until its all done and level- id just sit back, relax and have a cold one. all you can do is work on the rear suspension until the "minor detail" gets resolved..

hah, yeah I was. Is there an explanation as to why it's doing that? Maybe it's the rear driveshaft if it's because it's not level, I can't see why otherwise. Look at the cv angles, are those too extreme at the moment (look below)?

That appears to be 2wd.
