Did you notice any loss in low end?

The side exit that i'm showing isn't a true dual set-up. it's a si/do.

These are the two set-ups that I have been torn between. However, i'm scared with loosing backpressure with the true duals.

Brewdude, kind of raspy after break in huh? hmmm. I don't know. I think I may like just a little raspiness. lol. It's just that when all you hear is it raspy is when I turn my head and say that sounds like crap.

I really have a hard time not believing marc carpenter after seeing his past cars. sheesh, he's GOT to know what a good sounding exhaust sounds like. hehe

Nah..I wouldnt say mine was raspy at all. It did get a little deeper after It broke in. I used to get comments all the time about how good it sounds. Everytime I would pass one of my buddys in the parkway, they would hit me up on my nextel and be like "damn, that sounds good"

I liked it for that reason, but I want my next one to be a little louder. I'm a Mustang freak and have had exhaust on all of my Sayngs. Theres nothing that sounds better than that. So thats what I'm used to. I may go to a custom shop and see what he can do for me...*sigh*, decisions, decisions

Me too. I sold off my 16612 SI/SO and going to go with the 16616 once I have some money saved.

Ahh, that sucks. I guess to many posts, the motherboard couldnt handle it

Anyway, like I said, after basanni sent me the new tail pipe, SS tip and new hanger all was fine and it never rubber or touched again. I'm still trying to decide which exhaust I want to get this time. But of course, I just seen the thread about the new Alpine Double Din head unit with the 6.5" screen in it I think my exhaust may get put on hold for a while

Marc Carpenter needs to let it break in a for a few more weeks before giving a review on the exhaust, it does get louder.

At WOT, it gets raspy. It did have a "very minor" drone around 2k rpms, definately not as bad as Flowmaster though. It does sound louder if you have an air intake (I used to have an Airaid). You can tell the noise is concentrated in the right rear corner of the cab since the tips exit there.

I also got tired of trying to keep the tips clean, a real pain due to the big open wheelwells.
Marc Carpenter has over 3000 miles on this exhaust and it has NOT gotten any louder, nor is there any drone from it.

Good for you then. I was just posting my experiences with it. Do you have an aftermarket intake at all?

I have the AF1, plus Mikes tuning with the X-cal2. I think I have every bolt on the Mike offers other than the Roush S/Charger..

well, mine definately was louder with the Airaid intake, even raspy at WOT. After I took off the intake, the exhaust was back to sounding more mellower.

Maybe the tuner mellows everything out?
