Also, not to hijack your thread or anything but I was just looking at your cardomain site and I really love your tailgate. I have a few questions about it:
- How many parts are involved and how much did the entire swap cost?
- Are those lights or just reflectors on the tailgate?
- Could the Lincon emblem be removed with a heatgun or is it bolted on? Also is it endented into the tailgate similar to where the Ford emblem is on our tailgates?

If it isn't too ridiculously expensive I think that would make a huge aesthetic difference to our trucks. I would preferably want no emblem whatsoever on the back, if there is an indention I would look in to getting shaved.
Whipples test vehicle, a supercab 2wd got 5.8 0-60. Like I said in my original post, I really don't know how to launch a vehicle from a start, and the tires have a hard time not spinning below 20mph. Coming home tonight I was cruising about 35 and decided to play with a suburban in front of me that was dodging in and out of traffic, I had an opening with him in front of me, and the tail end fishtailed while I changed lanes. The new power is sick! I'm sure I'd be in the 6 second range with my added weight (supercrew, 4X4, tonneau, 22" wheels, etc.). I don't think watching a video timeline, or reading an edge is a good way to determine what the truck really brings to the table. The track is the only way to really tell.

As for the tailgate, I can't recall how much every item was because I bought so many of them together. The parts include the tailgate panel, two reflectors (not lights) and the tailgate handle. The panel has a recession for the lincoln emblem, so if you removed the emblem, you would still have the recession.

I might not get the painting done until May. I haven't gotten my fender flares in yet, and I have to leave on April 3rd for 4 weeks of work. I get back home on the 1st of May. I will probably focus next week on getting the new tune to remove the speed limiter, and getting a custom driveshaft with new u-joints and end loops installed.

Hats off to you, what a sick truck. My truck is on blocks, you're teasing me. I am about half done with my truck, a little more cutting and reassembling. I should upload the pictures. In fact, I will check my thread soon. Once again, great truck, great sound, great video. Try not to WOT it off the takeoff and lets see what she runs.

My truck has 24" wheels which spin less and my 0-60mph is 5.85s.

beep beep K alert (COBRA BRAND)

once you get your toneau, i would put 200-300 pounds of sand bags or something, up against the tailgate to weigh the back end down, Or just keep your tank really full.

Do you know what gear ratio you have, and if you have an open diff? because i have a 3.55 open and i can power brake it full brake full gas, and spin only a little off the line.... And i understand you have more torque, but still that much spinning is redicolous

Pretty loud whine. Not my cup of tea, but it sounds good

Patman, I've got 3.73's. I'm sure if I didn't mash on the gas from a start it wouldn't spin as bad. I don't plan on doing any power braking unless I plan to play a little more with some burnouts. I had a fresh full tank on that video, and I only plan to throw a bunch of sand bags in the back of the truck around November when the roads turn to ice.

Thanks for all the compliments!

Your S/C definitelly has a different pitch than mine, it is cool how they all have their specific sound. I ran your vid right even with mine and it seems my truck begins to pull ahed up top by a little. That is cool having them both going, it sounds just like a race! Send me the vid and I'll dub them together! Yours starts right as you hit the play button so I play mine and the intro completes and as soon as I hear the engine I hit the play button on yours. Try it!

Matt, that is pretty slick.

I think I see why you would pull ahead. I shift around 4900 RPM and it looks like yours shifts around 5100 RPM. You are getting more out of the lower gears. I really think Ford Racing had a lot of influence on whipples tune, and geared it way down. It looks like your tune helped you out quite a bit. I'll send you the video later on today, I gotta take the kid out to some kiddy stuff now.

BAH!!!! BASTARD!!!!! Please oh PLEASE tell me when that intercooler will be available. Put my name on one because it is as good as sold!

And I dubbed the 2 vids together the best I could, I couldn't figure out how to split screen that thing, only to blur the 2 together diagonally. Here is the link, and set size to ORIGINAL.........You can see it really good above 40, and at 45 we are dead even, and when I am at 90, you are at 80. But I know many things influence this.....it was probably a hotter day when you did your runs or something.

My G tech said my Roush gave me a 6.9 today with a 15.2 quarter mile. It's shifting way early at 4900 with teh Roush tune, and I eased up a bit in the end as I saw a car a half mile ahead that gave me pause. Can't wait for teh 4.56 gears, dynomax and custom tune. And no, it's no a strip verified time for those who want to point such things out. It's and FYI.

With 4.56 gears and Dynatech, you will drop at least 1 second on both times. Trust me, I use 4.56 gears .
