Leveling kits and 4wd...

Is it just me but does anyone else think 4wd and leveling with 33s looks crappy? Maybe I shouldn't use the word but it appears that its just to much gap in between the vehicle and the tire. IMO the 35 would look so much better.

PS: late night rant

I think it looks good simply because without a leveling kit the truck has to much rake. if you run 33's on aftermarket rims it look really good. I run 34's and I think they are the perfect size tire to have with stock rims and a leveling kit. No rubbing and they fill the wheel wells pretty good.

Tell me about it 33's with out a leveling kit and with drop shackels looked sweet.
Then I Had to put on leveling kit and the stock shackels ...Now my nitto Terra Grapplers look so small.
I will be going bigger 35 Nitto TG's or Nitto mudds and I only have like 2100 miles on the 33's
If you dont see me posting call the cop's my Boss (wife) killed me:o

Wouldn't it be worse if all trucks looked exactly the same. What if all of us had the exact same color, tires, wheels, lift or drop, etc. That would suck worse!

I'm just saying IMO 4wd trucks with 33s look to small. I used to run 33s on my 2wd but it looked good and beefy.

35's definitely look better, check out my gallery. But I just went back to my original 33 inch Mickey Thompsons because of better acceleration and braking. Now I'm considering removing the leveling kit and rear blocks.

If you are truly gonna "use" your 4wd, rocks, trees, pits etc, your gonna need some wheel travel! If your gonna cruise the streets of LA, guess you don't need that.

no way- if i had 35's i wouldnt make it half the places i need to get to- the 33's look great (obviously my opinion) with my 2.5" leveled fx4- the dealership loves my truck, and now have started leveling theirs on the lot and putting 33's on em. like mkinttrim said, 35's would end up restricting "use"

I think it depends on the wheel. I have 33's on 20's with the leveling kit and I like the way it looks.

I take it you use to run 33" with a drop shackle? If so do you have any pictures with that setup?

I will be getting my drop shackles tomorrow and I am going to try and install them this weekend and I will be running the stock tires. But I want to upgrade them to 33"s when I get some extrat money.
