I emailed porterfield direct, and got a price from them. I also checked with that guy on ebay. Does anyone carry these pads in stock? Autozone or Advanced Auto? I will call around and check prices locally. I was wondering if a Midas or a shop like that would carry these.

so did you or did you not find that the ebay guy was cheaper after shipping costs?

as far as local, I think you would have to go back and ask Porterfield directly about potential local suppliers.

I have the hawk pads/powerslot rotors with ZERO brake dust and great performance. As far as not towing with them, its BS. I tow heavy loads all the time with zero problems.

That's really odd, my friend has the EXACT setup but on his Ranger and he has HORRIBLE dust...similar to the new f150s stock.

Not calling you a liar, just wonder why?!

and for me, I added portfield front and rear "from the ebay guy" and I am fairly happy. they definitely bite better than stock, you WILL notice an improvement. As for the dust, so far... it is LESS, but I have some. I've only had it on a few days and I did paint my calipers and rotors with a LITTLE overspray and that may be flaking off as "dust." I've also read the Portfields take 100~ miles to breakin and then the dust output diminishes.

We'll see...

I have had the Akebono ceramics on my F-150 for about 5000 miles now. They are powerful, quiet, and absolutely NO dust! I don't see how you could do any better! http://www.akebonobrakes.com/afterma...ads/index.html

I've already told them Come on guys, they're cheaper than Porterfields and there hasn't been a complaint about them. Buy your kids some ice cream with that, or even better mod your truck for all to see.
