3 tanks, 700 miles and several kills since Whipple install

You can tell by the gas mileage that I'm finally past that "new supercharger" stage. First tank was filled up with 240 miles on the truck at 10mpg. Second tank was filled up with 260 miles at 11.5mpg and yesterday I filled up with 297.5 miles at 12.5mpg. Each tank had several high RPM runs, including waxing V-8 durango's, chebby's and a few cars. No ricers yet though.

Truck is going into the service shop Monday morning for tranny work. Not what it sounds like... I've had a leak that they haven't been able to fix yet. They said there won't be an issue with the warranty since it is a re-occuring issue and they didn't seem to get it right the first time around.

All in all I'm loving this supercharger, I'd recommend them to anybody wanting to really enjoy their ride. The torque on the truck now is amazing. It feels like the front wheels want to come up when you launch from a stop or even at low to medium speeds. When cruising on the highway, it is fun to get on it, but I hit the 99mph speed limiter so fast it is kind of a thrill kill.

Just thought I'd toss out a report after a week with the Whipple.

FX4&EXCURSION, the whole set up cost me right around $6500 after install. It was like buying a whole different vehicle though. Give the boys at www.lethalperformance.com a call. Jared is the guy I delt with but they are all a great bunch. I think they are offering free shipping right now.

JJG, you need to up the whipple on the list... #10 I wouldn't bother with the intake and bama chip if you are going to do the whipple. Take that $500 or so and put it towards the supercharger.

-TXF150- you gotta just do it man, trust me.

Thanks all!

That's awesome!

I love reading about other people's fast cars and trucks.

So any new pics of the Wipple installed on the truck?

No new ones, just got the pictures that are stored in my gallery. My brother took a bunch of pictures while he was down here for NASCAR weekend and is getting a cd burned with all of them on it. He said there are some good ones of the truck while we were playing, so I'll be sure to post them up once he sends them to me. Once I get the painting done, I plan to grab a bunch more pictures.

I think it has one already? Correct me if I'm wrong Roush. That thing is sweet!!! Is this an actual Ford Racing part or is it a straight up Whipple with Ford logos?

By the way this is my 1000TH POST!! Happy me

You're right! hahaha, Scratch the other things, but I was wondering about like where the hell do I get a place here to install that? This is hicktown, we have no places like that I don't think. I can buy it online, but there is no way in hell I'll even begin to to install it myself! Yeah and how is your warranty with that?
