Question about Bilstein 5100

I just ordered some on ebay for the front, does anyone know where I can get the back ones? And how are you guys liking these shocks? Thanks for you help.

Got a question, the 5100s for the front do lift the truck right, and are not just for lifted applications? It seems like on other trucks, they are for lifted trucks, and on the f150, the will actually lift the truck from 0-2". Here is the auction I bought my shocks from, they say the shocks correct the factory rake.
So do I just get the normal yellow bodied ones for the back?

Cool. I have been looking for these. They are new and just came out last month. I believe that they are like the Kings where they acutally lift the truck up to 2.5" in the front. But they are much more affordable and simpler to use. I asked the eBay seller if they had the rears as their ad says to check their eBay store for the complete front/rear package. I will let you know what they say. I plan on removing my Auto Spring 2" leveling kit and putting these in to make for a smoother ride. 5.4, write back and let us know how you make out with the fronts.

Here's what I found out from Bilstein...

F150 4WD :
The front part number is BE5-C298-H0

The rear part number is BE5-B514-H0

This is for the 4WD 5100 Preload Adjustable shocks. The 2WD version is not out yet.

I haven't order them yet. But I can't wait to get them either. When do you expect to have them installed on your truck?

Well I just ordered them yesterday, so probably end of this week if he ships off tomorrow and UPS all goes good.

I wonder if this is where the adjustable part is?

So the rear shocks are adjustable too, awesome, looks like you get an extra 1" out of them if you want.

You got free shipping on eBay. The other company charges shipping. So with your discount you still did ok. These shocks are going to be awesome!

Yeah they are. I have heard nothing but good about bilstein, and I really liked them on my lightning, of course they were stock and I never got to compare with anything else on the truck. I emailed that company about if the rears where available yet. I would really like to have another inch in the back. I always have tools on the back of my truck, sits bout 1/2" to 3/4" lower because of the weight.

I will post before and after pics and let you know what I think once I get the fronts put in.

Maybe a stupid question, but since the shock lift would seem to have the same affect on toe-in as a leveling kit, wouldn't you need to do an alignment job with the adjustables as well?

I am pretty sure you are right. Guess you just put it where you want and get an alignment.
