Some track vids from today.......
I went to the local strip today and what a mistake that was........It was 80+ out and the humidity was absolutely rediculous (it rained us out after we were there for 2 hours) but I figured I'd go anyway and see how bad I could do. Just a few months ago I ran a 9.500 with humidity LOW and high 60's but today the best I could get were 9.8's. It is amazing what the weather can do. I was monitoring my charge air temps and at the bottom of each run, I was getting around 175 degrees, so that intercooler kit (whenever it becomes available) will be much needed on these hotter days. When I got up there I was hoping for some hondas to eat up but there was hardly anyone there so instead I got to race the faster breed of vehicles but was able to keep up. That chevy truck I raced had some good engine work done. It was caming like hell at idle. And that capri had a 5.0 in it and it sounded pretty mean aslo, I managed to pull him off the line but he caught up and we were about even at the end, he was a little ahed. Everyone else was running very crappy times too due to the weather but it is to be expected. Remember, this track is @1200 ft also. Here are the vids! Be sure to set size to ORIGINAL!!!!!

Yeah, dude that was recording was being a moron, lol! He doesn't realize how well those tires stick at the track. If I did that burnout on the street, I could go through a few gears but the track is VERY sticky. If I backed into the water I could have lit em up, but there's really no point. Just clean em off and go with street tires. It was fun though, LOTS of people were kinda walkin around my truck and looking under the hood. A few people were askin me questions. I watched the wideband and it stayed below 12.0 on every run so I don't need more fuel yet......
