The recharge kit i bought had a spray can of oil. The instructions showed a squirt bottle. I think the spray pretty well eliminates the danger of over oiling. you just spray lightly over the whole surface like you are painting. The oil is red, so you can see where it is applied. I too was a little nervous my first thime but it was a piece of cake. just follow the washing insturctions, the cleaner works very well. Let it dry, then oil it. The waiting periods take a while so I washed my truck inbetween the steps.

Thanks Blue. I will do it tomorrow. Supposed to rain tomorrow here in LA, will do it in the garage ( w/ tje door open)

If you are curious as to how much gains the K&N might give ya, just take your regular air filter out and drive it around for a while.

Or the whole point of having a filter, is to, oh i dont know to FILTER THINGS OUT

Please do not drive your truck without a filter in it, you are just asking for trouble. Only way i would even think about doing that, is if i was just about to change my oil. But then again just changing oil, wakes my truck back up a little so long story short DO NO DO IT!!!
