Can't see gear indicators in flowthru console at night

A couple of nights ago, I got in my truck ('04 FX4 SuperCrew with flowthru console), started it up, turned the lights on, and put it in gear, but couldn't actually see which gear I was in. I guess I had never really paid attention to this, but I assume the indicators (ie. D, N, R, 2, 1) next to the shifter should be illuminated, when you turn your lights on, right? If so, I would assume this should be covered under warranty. Has anyone else had this happen?

I think there's a small light bulb under the bezel for the shift indicator.
