Gear Manufacturers? Whos the BEST!

I have finally decided to get gears, my truck needs them….I have a FX4 screw with 3.55’s. I have gotten pricing but the rears are backordered from the local drive train guy’s supplier... He told me he recommends US Gear, or Motive Gear. He said Genuine is crap and that he has gotten precision gears (which I thought were reputable) and said they were the same as Yukon gears, which he had problems with in the race cars he works on. He has been in the drive train business 25 years so I feel he knows what he’s talking about. I have 33's and am defiantly getting 4.56’s. They are just a little more Umph that 3.73’s with stock tires, and will kick A$$ when I am towing my boat. If anyone has suggestions on which manufacturer to go with please respond. BTW install pricing is as follows (even if I buy the gears and bring them to him to install) Front = $300 in labor $30 for seals and 8 for fluids, Read = $275for labor plus $12 for fluid, and $30 or $150 for parts depending on if I need to get new bearings.

Thanks Josh

not true, they also have 3.55's. Maybe just the FX4 with tow packages have the 3.73 LS? I've seen a good mix of both on dealer lots.

Flip a coin and pick one. Worry more about the quality of the setup than the name that's on the box when your ring and pinion shows up from whichever brand.
