Need Bluetooth Help

I was reading about bluetooth installs on here and saw where someone said that the radio does not need to be on for it to work. I installed the Parrot 3200 LS using the handsfree harness from Ford, but I get no sound out if the radio is off, although I see phone appear on the radio. I thought maybe someone would have some insight for this. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Chris

I now have pictures up in my gallery, look under the MODS gallery to see the install of the Parrot LS3200 bluetooth kit.

I completely forgot about this. It looks awesome. If you have time, I have a couple questions (well maybe quite a few)

How is the sound quality while driving in terms of the person speaking to you?

Is there any noise cancelation which would prevent the person listening to you to not hear the exhaust or road noise?

How much and where did you buy it?

Do you think it's be small enough to fit into the ash tray? I'd really like to try and put it somewhere where you can't see it when you're using it.

Thanks again,

Duke

Sound quality is good. The microphone has noise cancellation designed into it. I do not think the one I have would fit in the ashtry, size is 64x58x20mm. I got it as a gift. If you do not want the display then I have a CK3000 that I will sell and it should fit in the ashtry, size is 50x26x19. Let me know if you are interested in it. Take a look on the web for the Parrot CK3000, so you know what I am talking about and can see some prices and pictures, then make me an offer. Hope this helps.

I have the Motorola Blue Tooth hands free and it does work without the radio being on so it is possible that your should also work. I think that Parrot has been around longer than the Motorola. A little advise, Install the mic away from the windows. I installed mine on the overhead console.

We make a Parrot harness adapter called the QCFCSS-2P SEE HERE that works with all the Parrot kits and the radio can be on or off. The nice thing about this adapter is that there is not one wire to cut, splice or tap. It works with every Ford radio that has the MUTE button whether NAV/Non NAV, Audiophile, Mach, etc. We also carry all the Parrot kits if anyone needs one. Howard
