As far as water tight it hasnt rained since I installed it,but to help with "water tightness" i added a piece of automotive weatherstripping to the tailgate top where it meets the weatherstripping provided with the cover.
exactly what i meant- thanks man

I hate to be a pain in the a$$, but how much does one of those go for? I was pretty much sold on the Truxedo LoPro but now you got me thinking different...

What kind of material is the cover made out of. I got a video of the retrax and it looks like a nice cover. It is made out of lexan I think, but it is gloss black and I'm not sure I like that. My friend had one that was vinyl coated alluminum, but he got caught in a hail storm and it got all dented up. The video I got shows them beating on the cover with a hammer and no damage. So back to my original question, what is the rollbak made of?

interlocking aluminum slats over 1/8" thick, with textured flat black powdercoating. with some fancy profile to add strength... (im 6'4 200lbs, and i can stand on it with no consequences)

first, find your lowest price- anywhere- at the time, mine was in www.f150store.com ok, now open a new browser window, go to www.truck-bed-covers.com find the rollbak, start to order it, put in the low price (from site #1) and their web address- truck bed covers will beat the inputed low price by $25-

The only thing I'm scared of with the aluminum is it getting dented up. Why is the Pace Edwards so expesive?
