LT Door handles..

Has anyone put the Lincoln LT door and tail gate handles on thier truck yet? I checked prices at my local dealership and I can get all crome handles with alredy painted trim rings for all doors and tailgate for about 330 bucks. Witch is way less then having a body shop mix paint that probably wont match and remove and then prime and then spray them. Not to mention I get the keyless entry for the driver door.

The Search feature really helps out on this forum. Search and you will see that dozens of people have put the LT handles on their trucks. And you may find better prices through online parts dealers.

I did mine back in July of last year. Since Lincoln didn't make a bright red Mark LT, I made my own.

It is nice if you have a Mark LT color, but if you don't, you'll have to pay the same price new and then have them painted. Costs a little more, but well worth it in the long run, it really cleans up the side of the truck!

Thanks for the info folks. My truck is in arizona beige so they have my color. I contacted fordparts.com and thier price was about 60.00 bucks cheaper than my local dealership with shipping. How was the install? Ive seen a couple of threads on the subject of getting the keyless entry hooked up so im hoping my truck will be one of the ones that actually works without having to flash the computer. Thanks for the picture. It looks good. I was at a home depo today and parked beside me was a LT the same color as my truck and the handles look soooo much better. And aslo Im not sue who to ask but I need to know how attach the "my gallery" link to all my posts. Any help would be apprieciated.

I did this mod last year as well and I think it was definitely worth the $$ and effort....mine were much less than the price you quoted try calling Kevin at 800.570.5554 - he is the offical OEM supplier for "The Mustang Source" forum and can generally get you a 30 - 35% discount on OEM Ford parts...he's very resourceful and has helped me with many parts for my F-150 and '05 Mustang GT. Be sure and tell him HotLap sent ya!

I found the LT handle for my black truck but does that come with the keyless entry holes for the pad? Where do I find the chrome handle?

I love this mod (that I did) becasue it's so subtle. If you need help with the install I'd be glad to help via AIM, and phone, but, of course, I work too.

This mod does make a big difference, but if you saw my thread about the drivers door handle, you'll see its a little bit of a PIA. The other doors were pretty easy. It takes longer to remove the door panels than change the handles.
