I bet you gain at least .5 seconds on your 1/4 mile with 4.56s.

That'll work for me. I ran a best of 14.9 in the 1/4 with my stock 30s. I run 15.1 pretty consistantly with the 32s.

Unfortunately he ran 15 flat stock, so he's prolly a few tenths better than that with the Volant and Banks. He only got me by a couple of truck lengths in the 1/4, so I'm pretty happy. I'll be even happier runnin mid-low 14s after gears and stickier tires though.

You got that right, these trucks sure could use another gear. If there is one thing that I could change about my truck, that would have to be it.

Nice vids, great sports the both of ya, you both seem very equal depending apon the downshifts who gets the quicker jump. You definately spin off the line a lot more (F150). Very Cool, let us no the diffrence you see in highway driving after the gear install, I know last summer when we went from 3.55 to 4.10's in my Saleen it cruises on the highway going 65 1500 rpms--> 2000 rpms higher.

As soon as the F150 comes with a 5speed auto, I'll be trading this one in on another red Scab. That extra gear makes a huge difference.

I am very happy with the way the trucks runs though. With the gearing and weight advantages of the Titan, I gotta be putting out some pretty impressive power numbers to run with him like that. With gears and some stickier tires, it'll only get better. I plan to get everything out of it I can, N/A and then add forced induction.

I'm astonished at the maturity that everyone has shown in this thread. It's really nice when HMW3 and I can have a fun, light-hearted race and post about it without the thread turning into a huge argument.

With that said... HMW3 needs to purchase a supercharger. For me. Just call Stillen and have them send it on over, I really don't mind. I'll even take the plain "non-polished" model. You can even help me install it!!!

After readng into that STS Turbo setup I would be all over that if I had the money/wanted to make my truck really fast.

Just be sure to watch your rear end closely... I've been extremely careful because of all the talk of blowing out Titan rear ends. Also, you'll get axel-wrap fairly easily. I've heard that Greg is now selling traction bars for the Titan, which supposedly help out quite a bit!

I'm not worried too much about the rear on mine. It seems that the big problem is the powder cast spider gears. When I bought the truck, I broke the rear in very carefully by heat cycling it. I've changed the fluid 3 times in 20,000 miles with Amsoil. If it goes... it goes!

I put some Deaver rear leaf springs on my truck that helped a lot with axle wrap. They replaced the huge overload spring/bar with 3 arched leaves which gave me about 2" of lift and a much better ride. Also added the Bilstein 5100 shocks and Total Chaos 3/4" lowering shackles which make a huge difference.

Finally the Titan Myth debunked. Thanks HWM3 and JD TIT.

It is nice that the Haters did not stir the pot on this one!
