After some grief with some custom tuning after doing the 16a update, I did the update again as directed by Bill, but then the truck went into a no start condition. I had to email him my stock vin codes to him and did the procedure to create stock writer. This latest update is not available right now until this issue is resolved.

I just got home.....just had to check out the forum before heading for bed....and now this. You guys have me worried. I have the latest update and have hex code RXAQ3B3 on 2004 5.4L FX4. Everything has been working fine.......AMPG seems to be good ........shifting seems to be good..........custom tuning works.........and the funny thing is that, before, since the update to level 14, I have thought the performance was down a little and tonight I was thinking that the performance was better for this version. Actually did a 7.2s 0-60 (personal best) on the same old stretch of road by my house on my way home.

Anyway, clear this up for me. Has anyone here with the problem had the unit working properly and then out of the blue get this no start condition? Just wondering if I should return to stock and sit tight untill this is worked out.

I'm sure Bill will get this worked out.

Mine was working if I didn't do any custom changes, only when I did custom changes on either level 2 or level 3, the truck would drop to idle eratically, but it did it right away, like as soon as I tried to drive it. It didn't do the no start thing until I tried to reload the updates after discussing it with tech support. To make a long story short, if its working for you, it should be fine, I wouldn't mess with it though to be safe, at least until your able to get ahold of tech support if a problem does arise.

As for Edge tech support working this weekend, I was told first hand that they are working on it right now, and through the weekend.

WTF....this damn Edge update is getting old fast. It appears more problems are rising from updates than the original program. Dont getting me wrong, I love my new toy, but are these programmers running test on these updates or what? It seems like programmers are leaving us to see how it works

Yeah... they're having us test their $350 flash computer with a $30,000 truck. I hope, for their sake, that they aren't relying heavily on that pointless little warning message to obsolve them of any liability...

I am currently at a loss as to what has caused this condition but it is under intense investigation right now.

In any event, if anyone is having a no start condition after updating their Evolution, give me a call as soon as possible so we can get your vehicle up and running again.

I will be in the office until at least 8:00 PM tonight and you can reach me directly at (801) 337-2162.

Please have your Evolution and your PC handy so we can get through this as quickly and easily as possible. Also, if you have a portable (or cell) phone please try to call on that so I can stay on the line until the PCM is recovered.

I know this situation has everyone frustrated, including me, and I apologize for any inconvenice that this situation may have caused. However, with a little patience we'll get this worked out.

Note: If anyone has seen other threads on this condition, could you please forward this message along. I'd hunt them down, but frankly I'd rather spend the time trying to fix the problem. I appreciate it.

Bill
