Paint coils--gay?

I should be getting my McGaughy's 2/4 drop kit today, before I install it, I was thinking about painting the new front coils either silver like my truck, or Ford blue. What do you guys think, or is this gay?

Later

IMO lowering a truck is gay so may as well go all out an paint the coils.

Seriously though, why not? Worst case senerio you don't like it and end up painting them black. Just costs a few bucks in paint.

I would not paint them but that is me..

But if are going to do it I would take them and get them powder coated. You will not have to worry about the paint chipping off and you will have a lot of different color options.

IMO lifting a truck is gay -- kind of like it screams out, "Look at me -- I'm 18!"

People on this board can sometimes be stupid. How is lowering ricey? Hotrods are lowerd.....are they ricey? All preformance cars are lowerd.....rice? No. Better handling and mpg? Yes. Do you guys even know what rice is any more, or do you just say it to sound cool?

If you were refering to painting the coils ricey......wtf? How? Is painting your truck ricey? Is painting the bathroom walls ricey? I dont get it.

Powdercoating would be the way to go, but I also agree that you won't really be seeing them so it seems kind of pointless. But if you want to do it, then do it. Whatever you decide lets see some pictures, and I'd like to know how it rides after you get it installed.
