Sorry to hear about your loss. That is why I have a hard time trying to justify mods on my truck. I don't leave the EDGE(tuner) on the dash for the same reason, and I don't leave anything on the seats. The nicer your ride looks the more attention it will draw from everyone (unfortunately including thieves).Sometimes I think if it happened to me it would be better if they stole the whole damn truck instead of having to sort through the items they stole(that would make me angrier)and then pay to replace the parts they busted to get in. I hope things work out the best for you. good luck.

You can get one of the paging alarms, they are around $600 that way the instant someone so much as bumps a shopping cart into your vehicle your pager will go off. That way if you are inside a store, your home or whatever, if someone messes with your truck/car you can catch them and whoop that A$$. I got it installed on my truck but I have the sounding alarm on the truck itself turned off, that way if some one hits it, breaks in, they don't know the alarm is going off on my pager. Thats when I appear out of know where to lay the smack down! The audible alarms don't work so well any more because people are used to them, when they go off it's more of an anoiance then thieft deturant.

Sorry to hear about that. In some other countries governments will actually cut the hands off a person who steals.
Maybe we need real punishment in our legal system to keep A$$holes from doing crap like that.

But..... since our legal systm isn't like that, you could just hunt him down and beat the ever living **** out of him........Sounds like fun.

Just an update guys. I had Allstate look at the truck on the Monday morning following the break-in. They cut me a check on the spot. My Ford dealership got the truck Tuesday morning and fixed it in time for me to pick it up after work and drive it to a tint shop to get the two front windows done. 30% on the fronts look great in my opinion; just slightly lighter than the rears and that's what I was aiming for.

My comp deductible is $250 but the insurance guy threw in $150 in appearance allowances for the scuff on the plastic on the inside of the window that works as an armrest (dealership fixed it anyway). So my out-of-pocket for the window replacement was $100. I'm very satisfied with the work the body shop did!

And just a few days ago, I'm driving into work and my wife calls. A hotel had just called her saying that one of their guests had just found her purse, all strewn about in a park behind the hotel. So I stopped by to pick it up. Everything was there except the cash of course.

I'm glad everything's over with, realizing how much worse this whole thing could've been!

Gald to hear you got it taken care of. I've been a victim of this type of crime 3 times in my life and it's the worst as you usually can't do to much about it. The only thing that ever made me happy was a couple of years after a break in I get a call from the police saying they have my watch. Dang! I'd completey forgot that it was one of the items I had listed as stolen out of what was a different car at that point. Seems they busted this guys and found my watch in with the rest of the years of robbery loot these guys had stashed! Hopefully they got to spend some time tossin someone's salad!

Sorry to hear about the troubles, but glad everything was taken care of. Glad your wife got her purse back... not to sound paranoid but I would still have her get new cards with new numbers, too much identity theft in this world... I know this, used to work at a bank... oh lol and some lady in Winnemucca NV has my SS#... maria deltorre... didn't find this out until i worked at the bank...

You are not alone. I arrested two idiots Friday for entering auto. These rocket scientists were hanging around Pizza Hut around 1 PM looking for something to steal, with the world watching them when they decided to enter an UNLOCKED car and steal a purse that was left in plain view. To top it off, a Deputy was eating lunch there so a marked patrol car was in the parking lot also. We are a small town, so a couple of witnesses identified them by name. We caught them a couple of blocks away. To top it off, the girl's purse contained no money, checks or credit cards. These idiots are now facing 1 to 5 years for stealing a purse worth $20.00

That is why I don't have much after market stuff on my truck. What little I do have isn't stuff you can see.

Stuff like this makes me want to do something bad to who ever did this to you.
I pray that either you or the cops eventually catch up with them.
