That sucks in the worst way man. An alarm might have scared them away sooner but they still would have broken your window.

 

I've gone through that three times with my car which has a dated, but "good" alarm. I no longer believe in alarms, the general public has been de sensitized by false alarms and don't really pay attention to them. It just plain sucks, I feel for you. Last time, about a month ago they broke the window to find nothing in the car to steal. Had to drive 18 miles in 20 degree snow with no driver window, insult to injury. I no longer leave anything in my car/truck if I can help it. Hopefully what comes around goes around for these scumbags. Hope you get it all fixed/replaced without a hassle.

 

They really need to invent an alarm system which locks the guy in your truck when they break in. That way you can come back and beat the **** out of them when you find them.

 

All around bad deal there!! I have always wondered to myself what I would do if I caught someone in the act. One thing for sure it would involve a lot of pain the for the theif. I don't do well with being ripped-off, especially after working so hard to get what I wanted.
When I was younger and still at home, my dad I chased down a peeping tom that was getting a glimps of my sister through her window. When we caught him we (mostly my pissed off ole man) did a little cosmetic work on his face. When the police showed up we told him (our word against the peepers) he must of got scraped up when we tackled him. The officer just smiled and tossed him in the back seat and took him off. The sick guy was only in his socks, at 1:00am. He ended up living right down the street.

I hope you get your truck back to normal, having your truck violated is never any good...

 

Yeah, and our legal system is so F'ed up that if you beat his ***, he could sue you for $100,000 and win.....Think positively though, maybe he drove off a cliff on the way home or something....

You are probably right about that, but I am not sure that would be enough to stop me from inflicting some well placed pain. Maybe open the door and slam it on one or both of his hands. Just a little something to make him think twice before taking the easy way out and ripping someone off. How about jamming some of the broken glass down his throat, (could of happened when it shattered) every time he took a dump he would be praying for mercy..I don't think I could let him leave without bonding with me for a bit..

If I caught him I can just about promise you HE wouldn't be sueing me....his next of kin might, but he wouldn't.

 

Im really sorry to hear that, I hate low-lifes like that. I've also said that no problem can ever be bad enough to mess with a man's vehicle. It sucks cause at my party Friday night someone kicked my friend's door in, totally caved the door in. I hope everything gets fixed smoothly.

 

Wow that sux. Its the freakin METH HEADS that are fueling this blatent daylight robbery now days. GRRrrrrrr.....

That really sucks. My last car got broken into at my previous home one night. Stold my Alpine, and the entire dashboard, found the dash laying in the bushes a few yards away. I don't think these were good experienced American thieves as they wouldn't waste their time with taking the entire dash out. They also busted my CD changer, and stole some bowling *****. I think that pissed me off the most. I didn't realize they were gone until I got to the Bowling alley three days later. The left my golf clubs though and they were worth more. (I'd rather have the bowling *****, and they take the clubs)
