Bull Bar or Tow Hooks?

One of the reasons I went with a brush guard, so I could keep the tow hooks.

I think I'm going to look intowelding them on the inside of frame in the verticle position. If you use a high strength rod then it shouldnt break off. If you use a 7018 welding rod then that is 70K lbs per sq. inch of strength. If it's welded right then it sholdnt break. If any of you try welding them on Remember to DISCONNECT the battery cables because it could mess your electrical stuff up.

i know theres a 10 year difference but my truck has a plate bolted to the frame which has a tow hook on it. this allows for a bull bar plus the hook is hidden under the truck and the front end is a bit stiffer so helps all around. just a thought...
