Bedrail Caps/UWS Toolbox

I've been tossing around the idea of putting on some diamond plate bedrail caps along with a UWS low-profile single lid box. I think it'll look pretty good against the beige and it'll match up with all of my other accessories. Besides, a freind's Uncle owns a truck store and he said he'll do it for a few dollars over cost.

What do you guys think?

I'd say go for it, it should look pretty good. I have a flush mounted toolbox in mine and I love it. One question though, do you have to take off the Ford Caps, or do you just install over the top of them? Just asking, because I've never seen one of the newer Ford's with these caps yet.

Try F150store.com, it might be cheaper. I found the diamond plate bed-rail caps for about $120.

What about black diamond bed caps with chrome bed rails? That would look good IMO.

Ive been looking for these too. Ive been to f150store a dozen times and never noticed them. Im getting some soon. Ive also seen where Duplicolor paints have a new product where you can paint over chrome or poilished metal and it changes the color or it but it still has the shine of chrome. Id like to buy those and get some of that paint in black to match the line x.
Thats a great price for those bed rails too

I looked at them againg on the F150store and if you click on the instuctions you will see that they go on over the factory plastic caps. The only drawback is they attach with three screws into the plastic caps. So if you put them on and want to take them off for anyreason you will have holes drilled through the plastic.

I think it would look great.

There are a few pics of my Black UWS Low Profile in my Gallery if you are interested.

Also, the box on my truck is not listed to fit the '04+ models in the UWS application guide, but at the dealer where I got mine we tried three different models and this one (Model TBSD-72-LP-BLK) fit the best.
