tuff4rd,

another thing i noticed on install was that the top access plate did not fit flush to the box. I need to go back and install more weatherstripping to seal it off completely.

Hopefully putting a cap will help.
Tell me about it Like I said im not really to sure at this point, im hoping im wrong. I will be working with it adding the cap and some type of padding (Dynamat?) under the airbox. Also maybe messing with the Edge's values may help. Please let me know how your install and performance go's..
Thanks

You are getting a lot more air in now so you will want to richen up the mixture at WOT. I was running my edge on level three, and WOT 1.6 to compensate for the additional air. I have had my Volant and Edge for about 1.5 months and love them both.

Cool, thanks for the tip
I just had a crazy idea on modding the air box. In addition to capping off the bottom hole, I think im going to insulate the inside walls of the airbox and the bottom outside with a roofing product called Peel & Stick, its very similar to Dynamat. I have used Peel & Stick in place of Dynamat in a car that I had installed a sound system in and it was very effective. I think it should help with the noise and vibration.
I will let you guys know and post some pix. Hell it's worth a shot

Please do let us know if the peel and stick stuff works. I'm going to be taking mine off again this weekend to put some type of padding between the box and the support. I'm thinking an oversized mouse pad, if I can find one. Don't use them anymore with the optical mice Seriously though, I would like to decrease the vibration some myself. Also, try a modified level 2 on your Edge. After I put on my Volant, I tried level 3 and my truck lost all "off the line" power. But with the level 2 and proper timing, I think you'll like your Volant/Edge combo.

your guys truck must drive so incredibly smooth to feel the vibration or something. We installed mine just like your supposed too and I feel no vibration any time. I thought I was pretty **** but I have definately been outdone here! lol. I don't see how in the hell it's creating enough of a vibration for you guys to be noticing. hmm

Ohh no, a DVW pipe again...HEhehee.... Any thoughts anyone???
Well i installed my intake today and all went well. I didn't do any modifications to it, just installed it with what came with it. I don't know why everyone is having problems, it was a piece of cake to install. As far as making up a ram air tube, forget it! I spent an hour trying to come up with something that would look good, but it looked dumb... I will let you all know what i think later tonight when i take it out for a ride.

Let me just say GET ONE!!!! This thing is Amazing! I am really impressed by the performance that i got from it. I'm running a 89 performance tune on the xcal2,from Troyer, Magnaflow sido from Performance Peddler, and the Volant from JusnesModified. The total combination works flawlessly!!! I couldn't, and still can't believe what this truck can do now!!! This intake made it all complete!!! Here Hemi....... I can taste ya......
