How do I get the swingarm out of the fuel door of a 2006 styleside

 

Someone must have put on a billet fuel door how do I get the factory swing arm off.

 

If you are wanting to replace the fuel door you do not need to remove the swingarm. the aftermarket door is screwed onto the swing arm and then you slide it off. The factory door slides on and locks in place with plastic tabs.

 

I know the fuel door just goes on to the factory swingarm,I had bought a carcrafters billet fuel door, that just clips on like the OE door was not happy with the fit and wanted to modify the factory arm .I said the hell with it and sent it back for a refund.

 

the only fuel doors i have found have been tape on ones via 3m tape, where can i find a bolt on one?

 

all saless has one#6053c it jobbers for 66.92. It is nice I have one on my truck.

Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money and get a locking one. All Sales Manufacturing Inc. or AMI has a wide variety of fuel doors that are bolt on. The yare very simple and the locking one I bought is great it fits flush and locks so no one can steal the liquid gold sitting in the tank.
