I find it pretty funny that with all the schit he has talked over the last year or so about the 4.6L vs 5.4L that my SCREW, on heavy *** 24s with a canned tune has ran better than a .5 sec faster 0-60 than his RC with stock FX4 rims and a "far superior" custom tune. I guess there really is no replacement for displacement after all!

My Fx4 ran a 15.2 @91MPH on level 3, not bad for a 4x4 on some AT tires 305 55 20's.
I likemost here with the Edge are

Second picture: I snapped RIGHT AFTER the run with the edge and laughed my *** off cause it sucked, and that was the best of 3 runs i could get. The EDGE tune was right out of the box, NO CUSTOM SETTINGS, it shifted at around 5500 rpms which *over-rev'ed* the engine 400rpms to late.
The Edge does not shift at 5500 out of the box.....

I do not know my A/F ratio at WOT, but to make up for that i added a 1.8 fuel multiplier to my program. 80% increase in fuel over the stock should be PLENTY even if my truck is running lean from the factory. All this talk about, "OMG, you DONT KNOW YOUR A/F RATIO!!!!! is just scary rhetoric and i dont buy into it. If i didnt have the EDge, i would be running lean anyway....

I am running the 91 octane and added +2 degrees of timing. I have had zero issues with pinging. I will be adding more timing until i hear the pinging, then back off. I would not recommend this process unless you are comfortable and familiar with the causes and the possible catastrophic results of detonation. I am fairly "confident" in the results of that run because it launched perfect and felt REALLY strong as opposed to some of my other runs. Dont know why it felt stronger, but it did. I will go to the track soon and that will be the proof in the pudding, so to speak.

Do you really think the injectors/fuel pump are capable of increasing fueling by 80%? I'm more interested in dyno numbers for the Edge, than track numbers.

I will be going to Modular Depot in Cincinnati on March 4th to dyno my truck with probably the stock settings, then level two, then level three. Does anyone know the best custom settings for sure on this so I can give everyone some real world number improvements, I want to know the full potential of this edge without getting dangerous. All I know so far is that before the airaid, and the mac exhaust it was doing a 7.2 sec 0-60, and a 15.2 in the quarter. Thanks guys.

Well 7.2 is still a big jump on the 'superior' tuner...so I think you are in the ballpark. You are only at 483 feet above sea level in cincinnati so you are getting decent air....I would try +2 on timing (listen for ping, adjust as needed) and then let the dyno tell you how much fuel you need to add. Still, 7.2 is not a bad figure on a 4x4. Asin spent a whole ton more money on his tuner than you did and he wouldn't see anything but your tail lights in a race...

The fuel system may or may not becapable of supporting 80% more. What do the supercharger companys supply to increase the fuel? Do they send injectors/fuel pumps? Im asking because i dont know. Bottom line is, my fuel system is either up to the task or it's not. If its not, then no TUNER, canned or otherwise will, fix it. I will be getting on the dyno as soon as i can get up with doug from bama chips....
hwm3, you posted your dyno sheets somewhere didnt you? I figure RWHP in the 250 + would be good gains for our trucks.

From what others have posted, the Whipple uses the stock pump and injectors.

Wow, that's quite a stark difference between the Edge and the XCal2. You really need to get those 4.56s in bro! They will help substantially.

Hey Jim-

I was having the same problem, make sure you follow this exact method bleow and you will be able to custom tune
